Kelly Soljacich

Biography: With 25 years of experience in commercial real estate Portfolio and Asset Management, Kelly Soljacich is a seasoned professional currently working in Corporate Partnerships at Moderne Ventures. In her role, she evaluates new technology from both an investment and owner-user perspective and also serves as an advisor and coach to Moderne’s investment technology companies, helping to perfect their go-to-market strategies within commercial real estate. Before joining Moderne Ventures in 2023, Mrs. Soljacich was employed by LaSalle Investment Management (JLL) starting in 2017. As a Senior Vice President of Asset Management, she initially managed a diverse portfolio of assets for various funds and custom account clients. She later transitioned to Head of Proptech and then to Head of EST Innovation (Environmental, Social, and Technology). Her projects included vetting and evaluating hundreds of Proptech vendors, collaborating with the sustainability group on innovative technology-focused sustainability initiatives, and developing LaSalle’s award-winning partnership with the American Red Cross. She also spearheaded Health and Wellness certifications and developed and managed the Social Toolkit (asset level social programming). Prior to her tenure at LaSalle Investment Management, Mrs. Soljacich worked at Deutsche Bank in the Asset Management and Portfolio Management groups since 2007, and before that, she held similar roles at Vornado and General Growth Properties. Her professional expertise spans multifamily, retail, office, medical office, student housing, showroom, and industrial properties across the United States, with a strong focus on property technology, sustainability, and social programming. She is a strategic advisor to GRESB and the CreTech Climate Coalition and serves as an active Board Member of the Red Cross of Illinois, the US Proptech Council and the Technology Product Council of ULI. She is also on the Board of Directors for URS (Utility Revenue Services). Mrs. Soljacich holds a BA in Finance from the University of Iowa. She is a dedicated volunteer, serving as a Project Destined Ambassador and a Blood Donor Ambassador for the American Red Cross.
