Nihar Shah

Biography:
Nihar K. Shah serves as a Partner in Washington DC overseeing the commercial development in the Mid-Atlantic region for Transwestern Development Company. He is responsible for the financial health and execution of development projects, sourcing new deals, and structuring capital. Mr. Shah has sourced over $600M of product in the Greater Washington DC area in addition to leading the development, management of sales and leasing operations, and the dispositions of more than 3.5M square feet of real estate across mixed-use, hospitality, multi-family, condominium, and town home product types valued at over $1.3B across 14 different projects in the region. Mr. Shah started his foray into the industry working in project management for general contractors, where he managed the construction of data centers, government facilities, and mixed-use apartment communities. Mr. Shah is a co-chair for ULI Washington’s Local Housing Product Council, a member of the Community Development Product Council within ULI Americas, and is an active member of DCBIA’s Housing Committee & the Public Policy Committee. Internally within Transwestern, he is a National Training/Education Committee member for the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and separated as a Captain after serving in Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Mr. Shah holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. Member Directory  Arrow
