Richard Shields

Biography: Over 20 years in real estate and 20 years in federal program and corporate leadership delivering the full range of land acquisition, entitlement, urban and high-rise development, federal programs, brownfield development, energy, telecommunications and government and local government programs. At Avison Young he leads services in support of Land and mixed-use development and the redevelopment of closed industrial, military bases and coal-fired power plants with major national public clients. Major developments include: Orlando Naval Training Center, Glenview Naval Air Station, David Taylor Engineering Center (Annapolis), public housing redevelopment, luxury condominium developments in Chicago and San Jose, CA. Advisor to government, National Trust for Historic Preservation, and served on half a dozen ULI Advisory Services Panels around the country.
