Biography:
A strategist and designer, Jim Tinson leads the Hart Howerton team on complex assignments in sensitive locations throughout the world. From global cities to landmark destinations, clients seek out Jim’s business acumen, international network, technical expertise and more than 20 years’ experience of designing new communities, urban centers, world class resorts and mixed-use environments for leading real estate investors and developers across the globe. Jim has worked with premier clients and developers as The Athens Group, SCG Hospitality Group, The Discovery Land Company, The Related Companies, Cushman and Wakefield, DMB, East West Partners, St. Joe Company, Crescent Resources, Rockefeller Group Development Company, and the Walt Disney Company He has also worked with the leading global hospitality brands and operators including The Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Auberge Resorts, Aman Resorts, Salamander, Miraval Resorts and Spas, and Marriott International. An active educator, Jim has lectured and taught in the advanced studios at the Yale Graduate School of Architecture. He has been the instructor for continuing education courses at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and has been a lecturer and juror at the University of Pennsylvania and Notre Dame. Jim has also spoken in numerous ULI conference panels. His work has been published and exhibited internationally. Education: Master of Architecture from Yale University.
