Biography:
Jeffrey Torto is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager in the Americas. In this position, Mr. Torto is responsible for client relations, portfolio management and construction with oversight of asset management, financing, acquisitions and dispositions for his separate account clients. Mr. Torto began his career in real estate investment and research in 1986 with CBRE and joined CBRE Investment Management in 1995 working in various research, acquisitions and portfolio management roles. Mr. Torto has been involved in over $6 billion of direct and joint-venture investments. His experience has been across all asset classes and risk profiles, and he has extensive experience in structuring cross-border investing for foreign investors. Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management, he was a Vice President and one of the three original members of Torto Wheaton Research, CBRE’s research and consulting arm (now CBRE – Econometric Advisors). Mr. Torto earned a Masters of Finance degree from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley University.
