Simon Treacy
Biography: Simon Treacy is Executive Chairman of PolarBlue being a global energy company offering customers 'monthly fixed price energy that costs less than fossil fuels, renewables and nuclear'. See polarblue.com Simon is a global private equity executive and has a background in infrastructure and over the past twenty-seven years has grown real estate management businesses, and has significant leadership experience serving as the CIO and CEO of many regional and global businesses across Asia, the US and Europe. He has worked with the BlackRock, Macquarie Bank (MGPA), Lendlease Corporation (including in an infrastructure JV with GE Capital), Howard Hughes Corporation and CapitaLand Investment. The highlights of Simon’s global career include; performing a key role in building high performance leadership teams with a strong fiduciary track record, working as the global CEO of MGPA which grew from US$1 billion to US$15 billion under management with the business subsequently sold to BlackRock. He has a fiduciary mindset and has a passion for people development, cultural and community involvement to align goals to transform the physical real assets environment. Simon’s experience working with investors, global teams, and communities will help him perform the chairman role in delivering PolarBlue’s smart infrastructure for all stakeholders. Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing and Human Resources at Griffith University, Australia. He is a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and past Chairman of ULI South Asia.
