Marie-France Venneri

Biography:
Marie-France is the Principal at AME, a full-service mechanical engineering consulting group that focuses on the successful design, construction, performance and commissioning of multiple mechanical, plumbing, ventilation, thermal storage and district energy systems across Western Canada in a variety of real estate asset classes and housing types. A graduate of University of Toronto’s mechanical engineering program in 2004, she spent a short stint in engineering sales before transitioning to the mechanical engineering consulting industry. Joining the AME team in 2010 as a Project Manager when the company was a mere 40 employees, she successfully rose through the ranks to the role of Principal where she has managed growth of the firm to 100+ employees and 4 offices in across Western Canada. She is actively involved in the industry through UDI, Engineer and Geoscientists of BC, and the Canadian Construction Women organization and is passionate about LEED, Passive House and overall green building design. As an industry leader in sustainable mechanical design, Marie-France with her team at AME have led the design of projects of different sizes of scales that include 980 Howe Street (a ~250K SF office tower in downtown Vancouver), Holland Parkside (a 4-tower mixed-use development in Surrey), Sea and Sky (a 50+ acre townhouse development in Squamish), and office fit-outs of leading companies like Mozilla and Rocky Mountaineer just to name a few. The team is consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible with mechanical design and is consistently looking for the best outcome for the client, end user and environment.
