Bing Wang

Biography:
Professor & Dr. Bing Wang is an Associate Professor, Director and Area Head for Master Degree in Real Estate and the Built Environment program at Harvard University. She is also Faculty Co-Chair for Harvard's two flagship real estate programs for senior real estate executives - Harvard Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP) and Real Estate Management (REM) program, jointly organized by Harvard Business School and Harvard Design School. She is an appointed professional Adviser to two prominent real estate development companies in China that are expanding their presences currently in the United States. She worked as investment consultants for the US institutional investors and founded two private equity investment management firms -- KaiLong and YongYou -- based in Shanghai. KaiLong focused on real estate and was sold to CarVal Investors in 2007. YongYou has been an active investor in media and tech companies. Prof. Wang has published and lectured widely at the international realm. Her published books include Understanding China's Real Estate Markets: Development, Finance, and Investment (2020), Innovation Dynamics in Real Estate (forthcoming, 2021), Global Leadership in Real Estate and Design (2015), Prestige Retail Design and Development (2014), and The Architectural Profession of Modern China (2011). She acts as real estate advisors for multinational companies and government agencies headquartered in the US, China, Singapore, Japan and Saudi Arabia. She is on the Editorial and Advisory Boards of the Journal of Planning Theory and Practice, the Journal of Sustainable Real Estate and the Journal of German Real Estate Research.
