John Walsh

Biography: John M. Walsh, III, is the CEO and founder of TIG, a real-estate holding company established to advise, manage, operate, lease and develop real estate investments for institutions, individuals, corporations, and companies. Since founding TIG, the company has grown the managed portfolio and/or leased portfolio from 1.8M square feet to 14.1M square feet in Dallas, San Antonio, Midland, Houston and Austin. In that time TIG has developed over 2.9M square feet and has been instrumental in the acquisition of over 12,500,000 square feet of investment properties with a value of $150,000,000 on behalf of its clients. Prior to starting TIG, John spent 17 years at Trammell Crow Company as a partner and senior executive. During his tenure as development partner for the northwest Dallas area market at Trammel Crow, John developed almost 5 million square feet of industrial, office and service center space. A Dallas native, John has served as Chairman, Director and Trustee of various business, civic and charitable organizations including: Chair of Trammell Crow Employees Profit Sharing Trust, Valwood Improvement Authority, Carrollton Texas Zoning Ordinance Board, board member of bank and credit union, Chair of both the Farmers Branch Business Chamber of Commerce and the North Texas District Council of ULI and board member of Sky Ranch Youth Camp. He is currently a Commissioner for the University Park Texas Planning and Zoning Commission. John has served as chair of three Product Council Chair, for three different councils, including being the founding chair of one. He is the founding District Council Chair of Dallas-Fort Worth. He has also served as a participant in panels and as a speakerspeaker for ULI at a national and local level. Currently he is a member of the Women's Leadership Initiative Executive Committee and continues to be an active leader in his District Council. John has participated in twenty one Advisory Panels and TAPs and has been chair of over 15 panels. John is a member of the Texas State Bar.
