Matthew Walker
Biography: November 2006 Mr. Walker is currently an Executive Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing with Lowe Destination Development, Inc. (LDD), a subsidiary of Los Angeles based Low Enterprises, Inc. LDD is a developer of high quality hotels and resorts. Mr. Walker is also a shareholder of Lowe Enterprises, Inc. In 2005, LDD generated real estate sales in excess of $650 million and is currently developing projects with an aggregate construction cost of more than $2 billion. Prior to his current position Mr. Walker was heavily involved in LDD's business development and project management activities, including the following projects: Suncadia, Roslyn, WA; Stowe Mountain Lodge, Stowe, VT; Resort at Squaw Creek, Olympic Valley, CA; and Grizzly Ranch, Portola, CA. Mr. Walker interned with Lowe in 1999 and joined the company full time in 2000. Prior to joining Lowe Enterprises, Mr. Walker was a practicing architect, most recently working for Korth Sunseri Hagey Architects in San Francisco. Mr. Walker's design and project management involvement included commercial, historic renovation projects in the Bay Area, including: the Orpheum Theatre, the Olympic Club Lakeside Clubhouse, the Metropolitan Club and Oakland City Center. Mr. Walker also worked for Rockefeller/Hricak Architects in Venice, California where he participated int eh firm's office, retail and custom single family home projects. In addition, Mr. Walker interned for two summers with IA Interior Architects in San Francisco. Mr. Walker is a registered architect withthe State of California and a member of the American Institute of Architects and ULI. In 1994, Mr. Walker received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University where he was named a Cornell National Scholar. Mr. Walker received his MBA in 2000 from the Anderson School at UCLA.
