Anna Zubets-Anderson
Biography: Anna Zubets-Anderson is a Vice President – Senior Analyst at Moody’s Investors Service, focused on green bond assessments and on exploring how environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks impact the global credit markets. In addition to her analytical work, Anna represents the firm at conferences and in conversations with investors, media and academic community. Prior to her current role on the green bonds team, Anna spent over seven years covering a portfolio of companies within basic industries, with a focus on North American coal names. In that role and as a member of Moody’s Global ESG Working Group, she evaluated environmental and regulatory challenges facing the US coal industry. Anna wrote several publications on related topics, such as treatment of mine reclamation obligations in bankruptcy and the potential impact of carbon capture technology development. Anna joined Moody’s in 2009, initially as a member of the Accounting Specialists Group in New York. Prior to joining Moody’s, Anna was an accounting litigation consultant at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP and worked at KPMG LLP as an audit manager and a member of their International Standards Group in London, UK. Anna is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Francisco State University. She grew up in the former Soviet Union and is fluent in Russian and English.
