John Ziegenhein

Biography: John Ziegenhein is responsible for the overall operation, management and growth of The Chevy Chase Land Company, including leading the formulation and implementation of the company’s annual business strategy. John has led the structuring and financing of over $2 billion in all U.S. real estate asset types during his 20 years in commercial real estate, with expertise in acquiring value-add properties, structuring equity investments in joint venture development projects, purchasing distressed debt, and providing advisory services on real estate investment strategies for institutions, pension funds and high net worth individuals. Previously, Mr. Ziegenhein was part of the executive team at The Bear Companies and a Vice President at ASB Capital Management. Mr. Ziegenhein received an MBA with a finance concentration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Political Science from Randolph-Macon College. Mr. Ziegenhein is very supportive numerous local charities, including a 6 year board membership for Arlington Food Assistance Center and active participation with the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing.
