Homeless to Housed Annual Report
Exploring Real Estate Solutions
The 2023-2024 ULI Homeless to Housed Annual Report: Exploring Real Estate Solutions highlights the work completed in phase one of ULI's Homeless to Housed (H2H) initiative. It further explores ULI's role in addressing the housing and homelessness crisis following the 2022 release of Homeless to Housed: The ULI Perspective Based on Actual Case Studies. This report shares key lessons learned that will guide H2H's continued efforts to address this crisis in the United States. The report is organized around H2H's three core elements:
- Education: Highlights innovations, best practices, and policy opportunities through 6 new in-depth case studies and 16 Urban Land articles on housing and homelessness.
- Awareness: Illustrates the breadth of engagement opportunities in the first two years of programming. Over 50 key leaders and partner experts contributed to discussions and 5,000 stakeholders in total participated in H2H programs.
- Partnerships: Showcases the work of the inaugural H2H Local Technical Assistance Grant cohort, which included five district councils: ULI Louisiana, ULI Philadelphia, ULI San Antonio, ULI San Diego-Tijuana, and ULI San Francisco.
The report reflects on the successes of the first phase of work which focused on demonstrating how homelessness is a housing problem. In phase two, H2H plans to move from raising awareness to taking action and invites ULI members and external partners to join them in this important work.
