Report Summary: Located along the Eagle River and I-70, unincorporated West Edwards is the most densely populated area in Eagle County. The neighborhoods of West Edwards are home to a large portion of the Eagle River Valley’s local workforce. On November 14-15, 2019, ULI Colorado convened a Building Healthy Places Workshop to provide guidance regarding land use planning and policy, affordable housing, mobility, community health, and resilience in West Edwards, Colorado, where the local low-income population faces significant wildfire and flood risks. This report includes the panel’s findings and recommendations.
