Webinar Summary:

The Business Case for Resilience in Southeast Florida is a joint project between ULI and the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Compact to develop an economic analysis that examines Southeast Florida's flood risk and resilience at a regional level and to provide the region with a key tool for advancing climate change adaptation efforts.

The project centers on a local economic analysis that looks at the economic and fiscal impacts of sea-level rise on public and private property and provides projections for the returns on investments in sea level rise adaptation measures. The final report, to be published in the summer of 2020, will also include research on national precedents for other public entities addressing resilience by leveraging similar economic analyses that led to resilience investments and policy decisions.
