Webinar Summary:

According to the 2021 global edition of Emerging Trends in Real Estate®, an annual report assessing real estate investor sentiment that is published jointly by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and PwC, real estate players experience continued limited visibility given the ongoing (partial) lockdowns and government support packages. Investors and developers are trying to assess the cyclical and structural impact of the pandemic on real estate and identify opportunities and manage challenges. At the same time, with investors searching for yield amidst a continued low interest rate environment, real estate continues to be seen as a highly favored asset class.

In this webinar, global real estate players will discuss how all of this will progress, with vaccination programs having started in many countries, government support packages expected to be phased out subsequently and an increasingly volatile inflation environment. The speakers will also address the role of the real estate sector in addressing societal issues intensified by COVID-19, such as social inequality and climate change, including decarbonization.
