Webinar Summary:
In 2024, the City of Vacaville engaged ULI San Francisco for expert guidance in revitalizing its downtown, aiming to make it a vibrant destination for residents and visitors, while addressing the challenges posed by Unreinforced Masonry (URM) buildings in the core. As part of a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP), ULI SF leveraged its expert membership base to form a panel of real estate and land use experts. Over the course of two intensive days, the panel engaged with city staff, toured key sites, interviewed stakeholders, deliberated on key issues, and presented recommendations to the City Council. On December 6, 2024, ULI SF convened our TAP panelists and the City of Vacaville for a presentation on the report process, findings, and the city’s plan for implementing the recommendations.
