Harry Frampton
Biografía: Harry H. Frampton, III, is a managing partner of East West Partners, a real estate development company based in Beaver Creek, Colo., and a former chairman of ULI. During part of the 1980s, Frampton served as president of Vail Associates, then establishing East West Partners in Beaver Creek. Over the past two decades, East West Partners has developed more than $1 billion of residential and commercial real estate in the Colorado communities of Beaver Creek, Vail, Breckenridge and Denver, and in Charleston, S.C. The company has begun new developments in Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Deer Valley, Utah. While the types of development vary – including residential planned communities, recreational facilities, and resort properties -- the overriding theme is efficient, environmentally conscious land use. For the past 20 years, Frampton has chaired the Vail Valley Foundation, which he established in the early 1980s to promote a high quality of life in Vail Valley through educational, athletic and cultural events. The foundation sponsors myriad activities, including world-class ski racing, symphony concerts, child literacy programs, and global issues forums moderated by former President Gerald Ford, a foundation board member. “I realized early on that for our company to do well, we had to do things out of the ordinary to make our community special. For us to prosper, the community as a whole had to prosper,” Frampton said. “I’m a strong believer in giving back to the community.” In addition to his involvement with the Vail Valley Foundation, Frampton was an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, and is a current member the Chief Executives Organization and the Clemson (S.C.) University Foundation Board of Directors.
