Robert Palmer

Biografía: Rob Palmer, a certified urban planner and transportation/logistics professional with more than 35 years of planning experience, is a recognized professional in leading multi-party and interdisciplinary planning initiatives, program development, infrastructure projects, and public participation/outreach. His project work includes theme park and resort master plans for Paris and Tokyo. Palmer is a former Chair for the North Florida District Council of ULI that covers 34 counties from Palm Coast to Pensacola. Rob served on ULI’s Advisory Services Panel for the Mayors Bring Back New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina and ULI’s Infrastructure Initiative National Expert Panel. Rob recently served on ULI's Advisory Services Panel for the Ford Motor Company, Detroit MI. Palmer was a founding member of the Environmental & Economic Consensus Committee in Tallahassee and served as principal author for the Blueprint 2000…and Beyond report that served as the foundation for a $800m sales tax extension referendum. Blueprint 2000, passed in November 2000 has developed major transportation infrastructure projects and acquired sensitive environmental lands in Leon County, and has been extended through approved referendum. Palmer served as Co-chair to the Reality Check First Coast regional visioning initiative conducted in May 2009 for seven Northeastern Florida counties. The exercise took more than 18 months of planning and included a fund raising campaign of over $400,000 of public and private donors. Palmer served as the Projects Director for the ten-county regional organization, Our Region Tomorrow, Inc based in Tallahassee. ORT services the 8 Florida and 2 Georgia counties that compose the region around the City of Tallahassee, the State Capital. He is a native Floridian raised in Jacksonville. Rob has been married for 35 years with two children, a 23 year old daughter recently graduated from High Point University (NC) and a 28 year old son, a trade and logistics professional.
