Biographie :
Garrett Avery is a practice director with more than a decade of experience leading the multi-disciplinary teams designing and constructing sustainable and resilient landscapes, water-sensitive urban environments, coastal saltmarsh and riverine restorations, and nature-based science education facilities. As a leader in AECOM’s NYC Metro Resilience Practice, Mr. Avery is currently focused on integrating the natural and urban systems driving social, ecological, and economic resiliency in the region. As a whole-systems advocate, his passion is improving the resilience of complex urban and natural ecosystems, and advancing the practice of multi-disciplinary teams rising to these challenges. His capabilities include conceptual and schematic design; construction documents; environmental analysis, mitigation planning and visualization tools; and construction administration. Mr. Avery received a Professional Degree in Landscape Architecture with emphasis in Sustainable Design & Development from Clemson University, School of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities. Prior to AECOM, Mr. Avery served as a project manager for EDAW in San Diego, CA and as a landscape designer with Dargan Landscape Architects, Inc. of Atlanta, GA.
