Lynn Cadwalader
Biographie : February 2005 Lynn K. Cadwalader is a partner in the San Francisco Office of Holland & Knight LLP, where she heads the firm's West Coast Resort Practice Group. She is admitted to the bar in both California and Colorado, and maintains an active practice in both states. Ms. Cadwalader represents clients in all phases of resort real estate development and finance transactions, and has developed a specialized practice in the areas of resort and master planned community development, timeshare, fractional and private residence clubs, condominium hotels, and resort finance. She is known nationally as an expert on issues involved in the structuring, development, financing and operation of mixed-use resort communities and their various sub-components. In recent years, Ms. Cadwalader has been instrumental in the structuring of innovative luxury membership club products, including those with multi-site components. In the master plan community area, Ms. Cadwalader represents numerous developers of mixed-use resort master planned communities both nationally and internationally, in planning and structuring their land use plan and resort community. This representation has involved appearing before planning and zoning commissions, the California Department of Real Estate and other regulatory and political bodies in connection with obtaining the initial approvals and entitlements for the resort, drafting and creating the CC&Rs which establish and govern the resort community, and representing the developers of various projects located within the resort. Ms. Cadwalader is a frequent speaker at various real estate and resort industry conferences and symposiums, including Urban Land Institute (ULI), American Resort Development Association (ARDA), National Ski Area Association (NSAA), and CLE International's annual Golf and Resort Development conference. Ms. Cadwalader received her B.A. in Sociology, with honors, from the University of California Los Angeles in 1979; and earned her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law, San Francisco in 1985.
