Biographie :
Ko has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, having served various senior roles with Mitsubishi Estate Company (MEC), one of Japan’s leading diversified real estate companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. His areas of expertise include capital markets, fund management, fund equity raise, property acquisition, disposition and development. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of TA Realty, a Boston based property fund manager and a MEC group company, having raised equity from Japanese institutional investors for the manager’s U.S. value add property fund. He previously served as Group General Manager, Cross Border Investment Advisory at Mitsubishi Real Estate Services, a Tokyo based brokerage arm and 100% owned subsidiary of MEC, providing investment advisory services to multinational companies and fund managers investing inbound and outbound from Japan, the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and mainland China. Ko holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor degree from Waseda University, Tokyo. He was a sole recipient of MEC's full scholarship to pursue his MBA for the subject year. In 1992, he successfully completed the Uniform CPA exam in California. Ko is a Government of Tokyo licensed real estate broker and an Association for Real Estate Securitization (ARES) certified Master in asset securitization. Currently based in Tokyo, Ko serves on ULI APAC Awards for Excellence Jury and is a member of Executive Committee of ULI Japan.
