Alysia Osborne
Biographie : With over 20 years of public and private sector experience, Alysia Davis Osborne is a Division Manager/Assistant Director in the City of Charlotte's Planning, Design and Development Department. She is also the project manager for the Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan - Charlotte’s first comprehensive plan in almost 50 years. Prior to returning to the public sector in December 2019, Alysia was Vice President of Planning and Development for Charlotte's downtown business improvement district where she managed a $1.5 million grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to strategically guide equitable growth and development in Historic West End, Charlotte’s oldest Black neighborhoods. Alysia began her career as a transportation planner with the Charlotte Department of Transportation and Parsons Brinkerhoff (now WSP), and as a zoning specialist with the City of Jackson, Mississippi. Alysia, a Mississippi native, has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science/Pre-Law from Tougaloo College and a Master of Arts Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with an emphasis in Environment/Land Use Law from Jackson State University. She also has professional certifications in Nonprofit Management Certification from Duke University, Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University and Municipal Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Alysia is a certified planner in the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and a member of the American Planning Association, North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association and the Urban Land Institute.
