ULI BC is pleased to offer this interactive workshop, hosted by our Young Leaders Group, where opportunities are shared on how to get involved in a non profit organization as a board or committee member.
We will start this virtual session with a presentation led by Maura Chestnutt, who holds several decades of experience as a senior administrative professional in market, public and non-profit sectors. Maura will explain to participants how non-profit boards and committees function, are effective, as well as what to expect in terms of selection process, membership, time commitment along with roles and responsibilities.
Maura will be joined by Cecile Van Niekerk, Board Director and Finance Committee Chair at Catalyst Community Developments Society and Jaraad Marani, Board member at New Chelsea Society who will share their motivations and experiences contributing their time and expertise to support the non-profit sector.
