Global 1:01:15
Webinar Summary:
The megadrought in the American Southwest has become so severe that it’s now the driest two decades in the region in at least 1,200 years, and climate change is largely responsible. Globally, all continents except Antarctica are facing unprecedented levels of drought. These droughts have significantly reduced water supplies and fuel regional wildfires.

The good news is that ULI members are already leading the way with innovative solutions. ULI’s new report, “Water Wise: Strategies for Drought-Resilient Development,” shares best practices in water conservation for land use and real estate. These best practices demonstrate that saving water saves money and generates value for assets, communities, and the environment.

This webinar features some of those strategies for water wise development, landscaping, and policymaking related to land use. Panelists will also discuss how best to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors to advance best practices in water smart development and policies that protect our water future despite projected water shortages, population increases, and climate change
