Biography:
Guillermo Aguilar Principal Aguilar Architects, Inc. Architects/Planners Laguna Niguel, CA Guillermo Aguilar, AIA has more than 30 years of experience managing and developing large complex projects. As a Principal-in-Charge, he has provided professional services including development services, architectural design, program management, urban planning and design, master planning, and real estate development for construction projects totaling over 3 billion dollars. With his strong management approach, extensive planning, design, and construction experience, Mr. Aguilar has successfully completed projects to meet program, design and aesthetic goals, simultaneously meeting timetables and budgetary requirements. The types of projects he has worked on include but are not limited to area wide development strategies and project implementation, retail/mix use developments, medical facilities, hotels and resorts, residential multi-family buildings, office, and education facilities. Mr. Aguilar has proven his knowledge, professionalism, and ability to work in various areas of the development and architectural design fields in multiple projects with many types of private and public institutions, including The Irvine Co., Walt Disney Co., City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles City College, several banking institutions, and the Los Angeles Schools Bond Program. Mr. Aguilar received a Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Mexico, a Master of Architecture from Tulane University, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University. Mr. Aguilar is a registered architect in California, Member of the Urban Land Institute, Council Member of the AIA's Committee on Architecture for Education, and a former Thesis Advisor to the Graduate School of Architecture at USC.
