Biography: -Toronto Chief City Planner 1996-2004 -50+ years of experience in urban planning and city building, 31 years with Toronto City Planning department in a variety of positions -Architect of mixed-use revitalization strategy in downtown with the late Jane Jacobs, development of a new city-wide Official Plan and Central Waterfront Principles Plan "Making Waves"-which together have stimulated development and increased Toronto's population from 2.4 to 3 million over the past 20 years -Taught urban planning at University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University for 10 years -served on Ottawa National Capital Commission Advisory Planning and Design Committee, University of Toronto Design Review Panel, Metrolinx Regional Transit Authority Board of Directors and Vice-Chair of Ontario Transit Investment Strategy Advisory Panel -Dean of the Urban Land Institute Leadership Program for 5 years -Inaugural member of Waterfront Toronto Design Review Panel since 2005 and Chair since 2017 -Co-Chair of Canadian Institute of Planners College of Fellows
