Richard Brace

Biography:
Mr. Brace is a Director of the firm and a senior professional in AEW Research, the firm’s in-house research and strategy group. With 30+ years of experience in applied market research, Mr. Brace has primary responsibility for providing strategic support and risk assessment in asset and portfolio management decisions for the firm’s senior housing and commercial real estate sectors. Mr. Brace joined AEW in 2007, after eight years with Torto Wheaton Research (now CBRE Econometric Advisors) in Boston, where he was Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Strategy services. Previously, he was Research Director at AMRESCO, Inc., supporting real estate and capital markets needs for the firm and its subsidiaries. Mr. Brace is a Homer Hoyt Fellow; holds the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) designation and a sitting member of the CRE New England chapter board and sits on the client advisory board of CompStak, Inc. He is active in a number of professional associations, including Urban Land Institute (ULI), a frequent contributor to multiple publications and a frequent speaker at industry events.
