Richard Brace
Biography: Sept 2018 Mr. Brace is a Director of the firm and a senior professional in AEW Research, the firm’s in-house research group. With 29 years of experience in applied market research, Mr. Brace has primary responsibility for providing strategic support and risk assessment in asset and portfolio management decisions for the firm’s senior housing and opportunistic Partners Investment Funds. Mr. Brace joined AEW in 2007, after eight years with Torto Wheaton Research (now CBRE Econometric Advisors) in Boston, where he was Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Strategy services. Previously, he was Research Director at AMRESCO, Inc., supporting real estate and capital markets needs for the firm and its subsidiaries. Mr. Brace is a Homer Hoyt Fellow, holds the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) designation and sits on the client advisory board of CompStak, Inc. He is also active in a number of professional associations, including Urban Land Institute (ULI), National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) as well as a frequent speaker at industry events. Mr. Brace is a graduate of Dartmouth College (A.B. Economics) and a CFA charter holder.
