Darlene Carter

Biography: Darlene Carter serves as the CEO to C.W. Group which oversees 5 business lines: C.W. Urban, C.W. Design, C.W. Land Co., Cole West Home, and Cole West Development. Darlene Carter brings 18 years of experience in a variety of residential real estate development asset classes. Darlene is responsible for overseeing all company deliverables and has participated in over 3 billion dollars in residential and mixed use projects. Darlene started in 2005 with one of the nation’s largest private home builders and quickly became a standout in sales strategy and execution. Darlene joined Colin Wright, C.W. Group owner in 2009 when he founded Henry Walker Homes, a Utah-based home builder. Darlene played an integral role in sales/marketing, operations, and growth strategy for the Northern Utah Divisions which lead the company to become the third largest homebuilder in Utah. Darlene left traditional homebuilding in 2017 and transitioned to the C.W. Group. She is proficient in creating product that recognizes and optimizes on changing market trends and demographics, capital raising, building brand recognition, strategic planning, operations, and systems development to execute business plans and profitability, proforma budgeting, and building the self-development of people and an authentic culture. Darlene has a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Utah State University, has been a licensed broker since 2005 and was named Utah Business 30 women to watch in 2018 and 40 under 40 in 2020. Darlene serves on the board of ULI Utah and Envision Utah and is currently serving as the Co-Chair for the Development Committee for the Downtown Alliance.
