Alan Feldman

Biography:
Alan Feldman currently is a Senior Fellow of the Zell Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School, and has also been teaching Real Estate Development there for the past 10 years. Most recently he served as Chairman and CEO of Resource REIT, a $3.7billion public REIT, prior to its sale to Blackstone in May 2022. For nearly 20 years, he ran the real estate business of Resource (the affiliated sponsor and founder of Resource REIT) where he oversaw all of Resource’s real estate activities. This included the formation a variety of investment vehicles, joint ventures and wholly owned strategies involving approximately $6.5B of real estate assets. He structured the ventures and funds and built and managed the teams to raise the capital, acquire, manage, and ultimately dispose of the assets in accordance with investor objectives. Mr. Feldman also oversaw the formation and management of two mutual funds focused on real estate and credit investments. Prior to joining Resource, Mr. Feldman was an investment banker at Lazard from 1998 to 2002, advising clients on a variety of real estate transactions and investments. Previously, he was an executive at Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, a shopping center REIT. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and an M.B.A. degree in finance and real estate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
