John Fitzgerald

Biography: John opened the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong in 2007. As Chief Executive Officer of ULI Asia Pacific he is the Institute’s lead executive in the region responsible for ULI’s strategy, initiatives, and operations across Asia Pacific. John and his team in Asia Pacific engage the region’s public and private sectors leaders on issues of land use and real estate development with a focus on improving sustainability, affordability, mobility, and infrastructure. John is responsible for key ULI initiatives such as: ULI Asia Pacific Summit, ULI/PwC Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Asia Pacific report, Awards for Excellence, Professional Development, Advisory Services, and strategic partnerships. Before relocating to Hong Kong, John directed ULI’s Global Study Tour program leading delegations of senior executives and public officials to visit numerous countries with the core mission to exchange best practices on critical land use and development issues. Prior to joining ULI in 1998, John worked for a consulting firm in Washington, D.C., developing leadership and education programs on Capitol Hill.
