Biography:
Mark G. Feinknopf- #10616 Chairman of the Board Feinknopf, Macioce, Schappa Architects, Incorporated May 22, 2001 As the former CEO and Chairman of the Board of Feinknopf Macioce Schappa Architects, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, Mark Feinknopf has been a nationally acknowledged leader in the professions of architecture and urban design as well as Central Ohio community leader who continually challenged the status quo. Mark received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Yale University and a Masters Degree in Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design. He taught architectural design at the Ohio State University for five years and continues to conduct seminars, give lectures, and write about the relationship between the Downtown Inner City Core and the total community. For many years Mark has taken leadership in public sector projects including downtown redevelopment of over twenty communities of various size. Presently, as Co-President of Sacred Space Inc., he is the urban design consultant to the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTHA) where he is responsible for Transit-Oriented Development and community consensus planning. He has served on ULI panels for redevelopment of core areas in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Norfolk, Virginia; and Hollywood, California. As a community leader Mark has chaired the Development Committee of Greater Columbus, The Downtown Action Committee of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, the Central Ohio ULI Regional Council, the Citizen's Advisory Committee of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, the Ohio Historical Foundation and the Central Ohio chapter of AIA. In addition, he has served on the boards of over 25 other community organizations. Most recently he was one of three tri-chairs of Columbus Together 2000-a healthy cities initiative to establish community priorities for the 21st Century. Member Directory  Arrow
