Bruce Habig
Biography: Bruce Habig Bruce Habig is a commercial real estate executive with extensive experience across all debt and equity products in the capital markets. Mr. Habig has over 25 years of commercial real estate finance experience, and has advised on and completed over $20 Billion of commercial real estate transactions throughout the entire real estate capital structure including debt and equity financing, public and private debt and equity capital placements, equity joint ventures, capital advisory, and debt restructuring. Mr. Habig is Managing Director and head of Real Estate Finance at BBVA Securities in new York. Previously he worked as a capital and restructuring advisor at Lotus Capital Partners, where he advised real estate owners with loan restructuring and raising debt and equity capital. Previously Mr. Habig was Managing Director in the Real Estate Finance Group at Natixis from 2015 to 2020. As a senior loan originator and client manager, Mr. Habig led a banking team that originated over $4 billion in financing, including structured loans, mezzanine debt and CMBS. Previously, Mr. Habig was a senior client relationship manager at Barclays, responsible for large loan origination as well as a broad range of real estate debt transactions including fixed- and floating-rate loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity. Prior to Barclays, Mr. Habig was a Director in Deutsche Bank’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group for 14 years, where he was also responsible for loan origination (including mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and credit facilities), and for providing capital markets and financial advisory services (including public and private debt and equity, syndicated financing, and M&A advisory services). Prior to joining Natixis, Mr. Habig also worked at Ackman Ziff, as a Managing Director where he advised clients on high value-add debt, mezzanine and equity financings as an intermediary.
