Eric Hade

Biography: Eric J. Hade is Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Brook Farm Group where he directs all aspects of the Company’s investment and development activities. Prior to founding Brook Farm Group, Eric was a principal at Waypoint Residential from 2012 - 2021 where he directed and oversaw the acquisition and development of more than $4 billion of multifamily properties. From 2005 – 2012, Eric held a variety of executive positions at Lane Company (an industry leading, vertically integrated multifamily company) including General Counsel and Chief Investment Officer, where he oversaw a $2.5 billion portfolio spanning 13 states and grew the development platform from a $100 million regional player to a national platform with six regional offices and a $1.5 million development pipeline. Prior to working at Lane, Mr. Hade was associated with the law firm of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, where he practiced in the areas of commercial real estate and structured finance representing a variety of real estate-related clients, including institutional investors, private equity funds, developers, and lenders in connection with transactions involving the financing, acquisition, development and disposition of multifamily apartment complexes, resorts, hotels, conference centers, regional retail power centers and retail shopping centers. He received a B.A., with honors, from Colgate University, as well as an M.B.A. and a J.D. and from Emory University where he was an editor of the Emory Law Journal. He has also been a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the National Multi Housing Council, the Pension Real Estate Association, the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association, and the International Counsel of Shopping Centers.
