Scott Laurie

Biography: President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Laurie joined The Olson Company in 2007 and oversees the organization’s administrative and operating groups including strategic planning, acquisition, finance, construction, legal, and human resources. Olson is one of the largest private builders in California with a primary focus on affordable, transit-oriented, urban, infill housing in partnership with cities and municipalities. The Olson Company is ranked as North American’s leading homebuilder for overall buyer satisfaction, construction quality and sales process according to Eliant Survey Systems. Mr. Laurie started in the homebuilding industry in 1996, and was previously with KB Home for 10 years, holding various Executive positions at both the Corporate and Division levels, as well as Inland Valley Division President. A native of Southern California and resident of Los Angeles, Mr. Laurie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California in Urban Planning and Development. He currently serves on the Executive Committee at the Lusk Center for Real Estate and is a member of ULI. He previously served on the BIA Executive Board and was a recipient of Building Company and Builder of the Year awards. Mr. Laurie is also involved in numerous charities throughout the Los Angeles area.
