Anita Morrison

Biography: Anita Morrison has over 40 years of experience in real estate advisory services with a particular expertise on housing policy, markets and plans. Anita has worked extensively with communities adopting Missing Middle housing options. In Arlington, she analyzed the financial returns from developing different types of Missing Middle housing relative to those generated from developing large single-family houses. For Alexandria, Anita tested the financial returns from bonus density to the costs of including affordable housing. In Largo, Florida, she is leading a major Missing Middle Housing strategy, including a detailed review of the Comprehensive Development Code to identify barriers to affordable housing. Her housing needs assessments draw on extensive data to provide a detailed picture of housing needs and the factors inhibiting the private market provision of attainable housing. Anita has a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan.
