Matthew Mitchell
Biography: I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the New York School of Interior Design. In addition, I also worked for 3 years at an architectural design firm where I was a project manager doing residential fit outs. Since 2017 I have attended Pratt Institute’s Graduate of Architecture and Urban Design program where I am pursuing a Master’s of Architecture degree. At Pratt, I am a member of multiple student groups and hold positions such as; Student Council Representative, Tarp Digital Editor and Member of GAUD-Diversity Equity and Inclusion Group. In addition, I work in the Consortium for Research and Robotics and the Center for Experimental Structures as a Research Assistant, as well as a Graduate Assistant for various classes. This past summer I completed a graduate Internship at Taylor Miller Architects and won the Pratt 2019 Sukkah Design competition sponsored by the Jewish Community Project. I built and installed the project with my two group members in Tribeca Park, New York City in October 2019.
