Maura Moffatt
Biography: Maura Moffatt is a real estate investment management professional currently focusing her broad multi-disciplinary experience on asset management and operations. She currently serves as COO & Managing Director of Asset Management at Cottonwood Group, a Los Angeles based real estate private equity investment manager that invests across the capital stack in value-add and special situations transactions throughout the US. Previously, Maura was Managing Director of Investments and later COO of Synergy Investments. Based in Boston, Synergy is a fully integrated investments and services company focused on the acquisition, repositioning and operation of commercial office buildings, as well as providing a suite of property management and construction services to third parties. In her role, Maura oversaw the overall strategic direction and performance of the transactions, asset management and leasing teams. She was responsible for the development and management of Synergy’s investment portfolio, spanning acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio management, including financing and investor relations, successfully repositioning over 5 million square feet of commercial office and associated retail properties. Prior to joining Synergy, she was a Director of asset management with Long Wharf Real Estate Partners LLC, the successor to the Fidelity Real Estate Group following its spin-out from Fidelity Investments. At Fidelity and Long Wharf, Maura was a involved in overseeing the development, marketing, leasing, operations, financing and disposition of a national portfolio of diversified value-add real estate investments. Before joining Fidelity, Maura was a partner at Goodwin Procter LLP in the firm’s Real Estate, REITs and Real Estate Capital Markets practice group. In that role, she assisted a wide variety of stakeholders with their real estate legal and business needs.
