Mike Mackay

Biography: Mike Mackay is President of Strand and oversees its development business and Canadian real estate finance arm. Mike is responsible for overseeing all acquisition, development and Canadian finance activities. Mike joined Strand after having worked as a Senior Development Manager for Onni Group, a large, privately owned and operated developer and landlord based in Vancouver and active throughout North America. During his time at Onni, Mike was responsible for managing the development of eleven sites, comprising over 1,500 residential units and totaling over 2 million square feet of residential floor area plus approximately 800,000 square feet of commercial floor area. Subsequently, Mike managed the acquisitions, development and lending businesses for Dayhu, before launching Strand’s development business and re-establishing its Canadian mezzanine and equity financing activities.
