Biography: B. THOMAS MILLER, JR. PRINCIPAL TRADEMARK PROPERTY COMPANY Joined Trademark in 1999 as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Currently directing mixed-use and lifestyle/specialty retail development and investment in multiple markets. Most recently, Mr. Miller has been responsible for Trademark's 500,000 mixed-use, Market Street development in The Woodlands (North Houston trade area) which opened in Fall 2004. Prior to Trademark, Mr. Miller held various executive positions with Security Capital Group based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and affiliated/investee companies including Carr America Realty (NYSE "CRE") a national office property REIT based in Washington D.C. Security Capital Group was a public company formed in the early 1990's (later acquired by GE Capital Corporation) with strategic investments in leading real estate operating companies (public and private) in the U.S. and overseas. Investee Companies including Archstone, Prologis, Regency Retail and others. Most recently was Executive Vice President with the executive suites company affiliate of Carr America Realty where he was responsible for company acquisitions and new business development. Prior thereto, Mr. Miller directed land and building acquisitions in multiple U.S. markets for Carr America during its national expansion in the mid-1990's. Also, Mr. Miller was the founding director of Security Capital Group's Investment Research arm in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mr. Miller, prior to joining Security Capital Group, was Senior Manager with Arthur Anderson & Co.'s Real Estate Services Group in Washington D.C. and Associate with Kenneth Leventhal & Co. in Dallas, Texas. He received an MBA from Trinity University and a B.B.A. from the University of Texas.
