Daniel Rosenbloom
Biography: Dan is a Managing Principal and the Chief Investment Officer of Lafayette Street Capital and Chair of the firm’s Investment Committee. In his capacity as CIO, Dan is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment strategy, as well as sourcing, underwriting, structuring and managing all aspects of private-market real estate investments. Prior to forming Lafayette, Dan was the CIO of Cadre, a real estate investment manager that sourced differentiated, often off-market, opportunities, followed by rigorous underwriting, due diligence, and structuring. Prior to joining Cadre in 2016, Dan spent 11 years at GEM Realty Capital, an investment firm that invested in both public and private real estate opportunities. During his tenure at GEM, Dan led the private side acquisitions team and was on its investment committee helping to set their investment strategy. At GEM, Dan completed acquisitions across the capital stack and in various real estate sectors. Prior to GEM, Dan was Vice President at Fortress Investment Group, where he focused on acquisitions and originations of equity, mezzanine debt, and other subordinate debt secured by real estate assets and operating companies. Prior to that, Dan worked in J.P. Morgan’s syndicate and leverage finance group, focusing primarily on the real estate industry, and at Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL), assisting with asset and portfolio sales, asset level debt and equity placements, and corporate finance transactions. Dan received his M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his B.B.A. from the University of Madison-Wisconsin.
