Jeanette Rice

Biography: Ms. Rice retired from a 39-year career in commercial real estate economics in September 2021. Her most recent position was CBRE’s Americas Head of Multifamily Research where she analyzed macro trends in multifamily property and capital markets. Her analysis also covered most multifamily alternatives including the single-family rental housing sector. She was also involved in many global multifamily research projects at CBRE. Prior to CBRE, Ms. Rice held research leadership positions at several national firms including Verde Realty, Crescent Real Estate Equities, Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, HFF (now part of JLL), and Embrey Investments. Ms. Rice is a Counselor of Real Estate and has held several leadership positions with The Counselors of Real Estate organization. She is a Homer Hoyt Fellow and a RERI Fellow. Ms. Rice has also been very active with the National Multifamily Housing Council for many years as well as a large number of other national and local professional organizations. Ms. Rice currently serves on the TCU Center for Real Estate Executive Council. In her retirement, Ms. Rice is doing some consulting but spending much of her time traveling internationally. She spent seven weeks in Southern Italy in spring 2022 and a month in Brittany, France in fall 2022.
