Sam Sargent

Biography: Sam Sargent serves as Director of Strategy for the Austin Transit Partnership, a joint venture of Capital Metro and the City of Austin entrusted with building the multi-billion dollar Project Connect transit investment. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Capital Metro in Austin, Texas. A lawyer and planner by training, Sam spent time in the Austin and Washington offices of a local Congressman, focusing on transportation and housing. He holds bachelors and law degrees from Boston University and serves on the Downtown Commission and board of Movability, Austin’s travel demand management non-profit.
