Allison Wicks

Biography:
Allison Wicks is the Business Development Director at BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group in the New York studio, overseeing all project pursuits in markets across the Americas. BIG is a group of architects, designers, engineers and thinkers operating within the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape, engineering, research and development with offices in Copenhagen, New York City, Los Angeles, London, and Barcelona. BIG has created a reputation for completing buildings that are as programmatically and technically innovative as they are cost and resource conscious. In our architectural production, we demonstrate a high sensitivity to the particular demands of site, context and program. Working with a wide variety of scales and programs our current projects include the new headquarters for Googlers in Mountain View, USA, and London, UK; Copenhill, Europe’s greenest waste to energy plant which is activated with public programs including skiing, hiking, and rock climbing; and 3D-printed NASA research base on the Moon. Often the first point of contact for clients, Allison facilitates the structure and setup of all projects in the BIG NYC’s 180 person office in collaboration with the global Executive Management and Design Partners at BIG. As a licensed architect with 15 years in the architecture and design industry, Allison is able to guide Clients and teams throughout all steps in the project creation process from helping clarify the project’s goals and objectives, establishing contracts, onboarding design teams, and acting as a representative to ensure that the Client’s goals are maintained during design phase. Key projects that Allison has helped to structure include: NASA Project Olympus, Toyota Woven City in Susono, Japan, and the Johns Hopkins University Student Center. Member Directory  Arrow
