Jay Amin

Biografía: Mr. Amin has been an active professional and executive in real estate development and construction for more than twenty years, the past decade of which has been focused in the Baltimore-Washington metro corridor. Jay is currently the Development Director for Maryland Land Advisors, a boutique land brokerage and development firm. He had most recently led VIA Consulting Group, a firm he founded to provide development consulting/advisory, project management, engineering and inspection services for commercial property owners, property managers, developers, and home builders primarily in Maryland and Northern Virginia. Jay was also a founding principal/co-owner of I-S-LAND Companies, a boutique land development consulting, project management, and land brokerage firm in suburban Maryland that pursued opportunities in transit-oriented, mixed-use development, commercial-scale renewable energy, and market feasibility studies for residential development including master-planned communities and urban/suburban infill projects in the greater Baltimore-Washington metro markets. Jay has contributed his local real estate market knowledge and expertise through written quarterly market analyses and summaries published by a leading national housing market research/intelligence and data analytics provider. Jay is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Maryland Building Industry Association. He has volunteered several times as a facilitator and city councilperson in ULI's UrbanPlan program at the high school, college/university, and graduate school level. He has also participated as a panelist with ULI Advisory Services. Jay is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Maryland and California and also holds a Real Estate Salesperson license in Maryland. He earned his magna cum laude B.S. in civil engineering, along with a minor in economics, from Rutgers University-New Brunswick as well as his M.B.A. in management and real estate from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business.
