Pamela Herbst

Biografía: September 2006 Pamela J. Herbst is an AEW Principal and Head of the Direct Investment Group, one of the firm's three business lines which is responsible for all of the firm's investment activities on behalf of core and value-added clients. She is also a member of the firm's Management Committee, Investment Committee and Investment Policy Group. Founded in 1981, AEW is one of the nation's leading real estate investment advisors. On behalf of a wide range of institutional investors, AEW and its affiliates manage approximately $25 billion of capital invested in over $34 billion of property in North America and Europe. As the Head of AEW's Direct Investment Group, Ms. Herbst is responsible for all of the firm's investment activities on behalf of core and value-added clients. In this capacity, Ms. Herbst oversees the asset and portfolio management of $10 billion of gross assets under management invested in nearly all property types and new investment transactions totaling approximately $900 million/year. Ms. Herbst has 25 years of real estate investment acquisitions, asset and portfolio management experience. Since joining the firm in 1982, Ms. Herbst has held various senior level positions in investment management, acquisitions and corporate operations. In addition to holding a number of industry certifications, Ms. Herbst is on the Board of Directors and was former Chair of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP), is an active member of ULI and served from 2002-2004 on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Awards for Excellence Committee. Pam is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (B.A.) and Boston University (M.B.A.).
