Mike McMillen

Biographie : Mike McMillen is a Vice President for TRI Pointe Group where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s longer term land assets located throughout the State of California. This includes strategic land planning, developing product segmentation and creating amenities to optimize the value and monetize the land assets. From 2011 to 2015, Mike was a Vice President, Project Manager for TRI Pointe Homes (a subsidiary of TRI Pointe Group). responsible for overseeing all aspects of Project Management on many of the company’s projects throughout the Southern California area. These responsibilities include pre-development activities such as acquisition, entitlements, site planning and product development as well as managing each of the communities through to its successful completion. Mike has extensive and diverse experience with new developments including both single family and multi-family and is recognized in the industry for his ability to obtain approvals on projects with complex entitlements. Prior to joining TRI Pointe in 2011, Mike spent over 16 years with William Lyon Homes Inc. working in both the Northern California Division and Southern California Division managing many of the company’s projects as Vice President, Senior Project Manager. Prior to joining William Lyon Homes Inc., Mike spent 5 years with KB Homes working in various management capacities in the San Diego Division as well as utilizing his experience in being an integral part of starting up the Utah division. Mr. McMillen is a member of the Board of Directors for HomeAid Orange County, California, a charitable organization that serves the homeless. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Rescue Mission, a charitable organization that serves the homeless. He is also a former member of the Executive Committee of the Building Industry Association. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Construction Management and has over 25 years of experience within the homebuilding industry. Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and their three children.
