Resumen del seminario web:

Ontario municipalities are presently undertaking their Official Plan updates to bring them into conformity with Provincial plans, policies, and growth forecasts. In the context of growing social inequities and acknowledgment of systemic barriers to opportunity for minority groups, Urban Planners are tasked with using the opportunity of official plan reviews to incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation (DEIR) policies into the Official Plan.

ULI Toronto explores the ways that DEIR objectives are being advanced in the planning frameworks of other cities across North America. This webinar highlights several different approaches to integrating DEIR considerations into the planning process. Due to the high level of interest in this topic and the timing of the municipal comprehensive reviews, ULI will be hosting a follow-up workshop in the Fall of 2022 to unpack these issues and collaborate on policy and tools to address DEIR.
