Doug McKinstry

Biography: Doug McKinstry - Managing Director Doug is a managing director for Principal Real Estate Investors, the dedicated real estate group of Principal Global Investors. He is responsible for the commercial mortgage underwriting team in the eastern region of the United States. Before being appointed to this position in 2005, Doug was responsible for the origination of new commercial mortgages and the management of existing portfolios in the Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan markets. Doug received a bachelor's degree in finance from Iowa State University. He is a member of the of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and NAIOP Capital Markets National Forum. Doug also served as Co-chair of Principal’s 2018 United Way Campaign.
