Biography:
I am a real estate and land use partner at Manatt Phelps & Phillips. I am currently the Co-Chair of the Real Estate and Land Use Practice Group at Manatt. My practice focuses on leasing, acquisition, land use, development and business and commercial law. On behalf of landlords, tenants and brokers, I negotiate and prepare commercial, retail, industrial and residential space, ground, out parcel, in-line, single-tenant and multi-tenant leases and built-to-suit transactions. On behalf of buyers, sellers, developers and investors in commercial, residential, mixed-use, vineyard/winery, hotel and fractional interest transactions, I negotiate and prepare all transactional, development, construction and financing documents and necessary due diligence investigations. On behalf of developers and land owners, I ensure CEQA compliance, LEED certification, AB 32 compliance and sustainability/green best practices, conduct due diligence and oversee growth control measures, development conditions and exactions, redevelopment, zoning, rezoning, subdivisions, planning, variances annexations and construction. On behalf of individuals and entities, my expertise includes formation of joint ventures, partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies; general corporate governance; negotiating and preparing merger, acquisition, buy-sell and employment agreements; assistance in obtaining licenses and regulatory approvals from federal and state agencies; negotiating and preparing distribution, supply, marketing, intellectual property, joint-venture, and vendor agreements.
